3 Freakin' Awesome DIY Recipes

DIY. These have become my three favorite letters to see paired together. Here are my ALL-TIME best DIYs for your lovely faces. Tested, tried, and true. These are winners.

1. Baking Soda, ACV & Lemon

This easy recipe can be used as a face scrub or mask. It's my go-to for instant glow, exfoliating, detoxing the skin, fighting acne, scars, you name it. Plus, it's fun to see the products "sizzle" when you mix them together. Don't worry, it's 100% safe to use on your face:)

-1 Tbsp. Bob's Red Mill baking soda

-1 tsp. fresh squeezed lemon juice

-1 tsp. raw Apple Cider Vinger

Mix them together, apply to your face and work it in. Wash it off immediately, or leave it on for a few minutes. Pat your face dry (never rub dry with a towel) and glow all day.

2. Activated Charcoal, Coconut Oil & Baking Soda

This makes for a great face wash, but a bit tedious to wash off if you don't have a wash cloth. The coconut oil rehydrates the skin for those harsh city winters (yucky). My favorite is coconut activated charcoal, but any powdered form works just fine. And side note: this kick-ass DIY recipe also whitens your teeth! You're welcome.

-1 tsp. activated charcoal

-1 Tbsp. Bob's Red Mill baking soda

-1 Tbsp. Virgin Coconut Oil {VCO}

Mix these all together, apply to your face and be gentle with the scrubbing! This one needs some TLC with application and removal... but the results are SO worth it! To remove this dirty recipe, wet your washcloth with warm water. Pat face dry & glow all day.

3. Honey, Lemon, Diatomaceous Earth {DE}

So what's DE? If you don't know, please learn about all the beautiful benefits by clicking here. This is such a yummy smelling concoction, and it's amazing and gentle enough to use twice a day. I prefer using raw honey because of all its' benefits, but don't get your panties in a bunch if you just have regular honey. Still tons of benefits! This one is a lot more gentle with exfoliating than the former two recipes, so I like to make a huge batch of it and keep a jar under my sink. I'm officially in love<3

-1 tsp. diatomaceous earth {FOOD GRADE ONLY!}

-1 Tsbp. raw honey

-1 tsp. fresh squeezed lemon juice

Mix the DE with the honey before you add the lemon juice (to avoid clumpy chunks). Whip it up with a fork until it gets a bit frothy. Apply to skin and gently massage it in. Washcloth-remove this one as well (although it's not necessary, we just like washcloths). Glow all freakin' day!

Much, much love to your sink and shower from ours. If you ladies have any recipes of your own to share, please comment below. Oh, and let me know how these turn out for you! They're my Snap, Crackle, and Pop for quick DIY skin fixes.
